Announcement: 3rd Foreigners’ Korean Speech Contest 2026

We are pleased to inform all Korean language learners about the 3rd Foreigners’ Korean Speech Contest, organized by The Korea Times.

This prestigious global competition offers participants the opportunity to demonstrate their Korean language skills, win prestigious awards, and gain valuable international exposure. This year, the total prize money has been increased to 12 million KRW, and 20 winners will be selected. One outstanding winner will also receive a special internship opportunity with the Korea Times Video Team.

Competition Details:
• Application Period: February 26 – May 7, 2026
• Results Announcement: May 26, 2026
• Eligibility: Foreigners and overseas Koreans whose first language is not Korean

• Speech Category: Free topic or “What’s My Favourite K?” (Longform/Shortform)
• Pronunciation Category: Korean Tongue Twister Challenge

How to Apply:
• Upload your speech video on social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram with the required hashtag
• Submit your application and video link through the official website
